What happens if I'm coming short on the requested word length?

Last updated August 15, 2023

There are times when you may author a piece and realize you're coming under the requested word length indicated by the customer.

In such cases, if you're within 100 words to the indicated length there's no reason to worry and you can submit the piece.

However, if you're coming up shorter than that. For example, submitting 800 words for a 1,000 word request, do one of the following:

  • In your submission, leave an author's note at the top of the content indicating why you're slightly under.
  • Send the customer a message via the in-app messaging feature letting them know as well before you've submitted the piece.

In your submission, leave an author's note at the top of the content indicating why you're slightly under.
