If you are on Draft's legacy subscription-based model don't panic if you weren't able to use up all of your words in a given month! Unused words carry over from month to month. 

At the end of your monthly billing cycle, any unused words will carry over to your next month's quota. If you decide to cancel your subscription, your words will expire at the end of the billing period. Alternatively, you can move to our usage based pricing model.

Do words expire?

You can purchase blocks of words anytime under My account > Purchase words. Just make sure you have a valid credit card entered under My account > Payment sources.

If you want to take advantage of volume discounts, consider buying the amount you know you'll need for the next few months. 

You can also pay per individual request. Simply fill out a brief and enter your card details in the last step. 

NOTE: Words expire 1 year after purchase.

How do I purchase more words?

To update your payment method on file with us, log in to your Draft account. Under My Account click Payment Sources. From there you'll be able to update billing details and credit card information.

Note: We currently only accept payment via credit card and do not support invoicing or ACH.

I need to update my credit card

Log in to your Draft account and under My Account click on Invoices. 

From there you'll be able to download your past invoices.

Our monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime! You can cancel your subscription yourself on your 

If you're on usage based pricing, no need to cancel. You won't be charged again unless you decide to purchase more words in future. If you need your account fully deleted, please contact 

For annual plans, please note you can't cancel before the year is up and receive a pro-rated credit for any unused months on your subscription. These are one-year commitments and we can set your subscription to change at the end of this 12 month period. Please contact 

Want to pause instead and come back later?

If you're currently on a subscription plan, head to your 

 and select "Cancel". This will move you to our usage based pricing model that has no recurring fees and you can simply purchase more words whenever you're ready.

You can continue to work through any words you currently have. Contact 

If you're already on usage based pricing, no need to do anything. You won't be charged until you purchase another block of words.

 and select "Cancel" and you'll be moved off of your subscription plan and receive no further recurring charges.

Please note that you have 1 year from your cancellation date to use any remaining words in your quota unless you're on our free trial, in which case, you will lose access to your words immediately.

In Progress content will be completed, and you'll have access to all Completed pieces even after your subscription ends (unless cancelling a free trial).

Our monthly subscriptions are month to month, cancel anytime. Our usage based pricing does not need to be cancelled.
