Consistent, quality content creation is key to seeing results.

Get ahead on your content plans by creating and saving articles ideas. If you're struggling to come up with ideas, head to our Article Idea Generator for help!

When you're getting started, aim to save 5-10 ideas to your planner. From there you can continue to add ideas so you never run out of content to create.

There are two ways to add ideas to your Saved Ideas list - the first is by adding your own ideas, and the second is by using our Article Idea Generator tool. We've outlined both ways below:

Option 1: Creating your Idea List & Adding Your Ideas

. You can name it whatever you'd like, but try and create a title that will help you to identify what topics you'll be saving under the list.
NOTE: you can create multiple lists! Divide them by topic or format for easy organization.

Once you've created the list you can begin adding different ideas.

. When adding the idea you can put in the title of the piece, or simply the idea for the piece.

Hit Save. From there, continue adding as many ideas to the list as you'd like! Just click 

Option 2: Using the Article Idea Generator to Save Ideas

The Article Idea Generator is a great tool to come up with different content ideas. The generator will come up with titles that would likely be catchy or interesting to readers based on the keywords you provided. We recommend saving 5-10 different ideas when you get started.

Type in a keyword, or keywords, and the AI will generate ideas for that topic. Click 

. You'll see a number of different article ideas come up.

When you find an idea you like, click the flag button next to the idea to add it to one of your Idea Lists.
If you haven't created a list at this point you'll see the 

button. You'd be able to name the idea list from this point. If you already had lists you'll be able to choose to add the idea to one of your existing lists.

You'll then see the idea appear under the Idea List you've chosen.

From your Saved ideas lists you can easily request content and create your brief by clicking on 

 next to each idea. From there you'll be brought directly to the first step of the brief creation process.

How to generate article ideas & save them to your planner

Now that you're ready to start requesting content with Draft, there's just one more thing left to do!

Completing your Brand Profile gives writers context on your business and any brand guidelines you need them to follow. The best part is that you only fill it out once so you can save time on your content briefs!

Select "Brand Profile" in the navigation bar.

Populate the Brand Profile with any relevant details the writer should be aware of when writing for your business. 

TIP: You can include shared links to brand or SEO guidelines!

Select "Update profile" to save your changes and make any updates as needed.

Before requesting content, create your brand profile to help writers understand your business and save time on your briefs.

How to create your brand profile

Draft is a marketplace of hundreds of active content writers. We're constantly adding new writers and quality-controlling our pool of existing writers.

We use a matching algorithm to get your brief in front of the best writers to take it on, but finding the right writers for your content is very much an iterative process.

, meaning you retain full ownership of any content you create. Writers are not allowed to share the work they do or make contact with you or your clients outside of the platform.

Our rule of thumb is that if it's a written format, we can do it for you (unless it's one of our banned content topics i.e. academic or political).

Our writers predominantly write blog posts, so this is certainly our strong suit. With that said, we do frequently write social copy, email copy, landing page copy, and product descriptions.

We also write longer-form content such as eBooks, but the outcome can vary based on the complexity of your subject matter.

 during your trial period to land on your first preferred writer! If you don't like your first article, don't panic. They're likely not the perfect fit and you should give it another go.

Once you find that preferred writer (and more than one from there!) it's smooth sailing.

A question we often get is how specialized our writers are on certain topics or niches.

This means that your very technical or specific topic might not be the best fit for our marketplace, however, we do have specialized clients that end up finding a writer that works for them!

Our writers are expected to have a basic understanding and ability to apply SEO principles.

Please specify the main keyword you need to use in your article and provide any specific guidelines your company has.

Note that it's unlikely that our writers will be comfortable working off of a long list of keywords (i.e. more than 5) or complex SEO guidelines.

At this time, we don't offer expedited requests. The timelines you see reflected on the platform are standardized and we can't guarantee delivery prior to then.

We highly recommend working ahead on your content plans to avoid running short on time! TIP: You can submit all of your work for the month at the start.
